Perhaps one of the most influential painters of all time, Monet was the founder of Impressionist painting, a new, modern approach to painting where the artist tries to capture the light and the atmosphere and the environment as they see it - their “impression”. Claude painted a LOT of paintings. Over 2,500 paintings! His hard work and amazing effort was the link between many different types of art and art movements.
